Day 1: Samburu Game Reserve
You will be picked up from Nairobi and drive through the central part of Kenya rich with agricultural activities to Samburu Game reserve located in the semi arid land in the north Frontier District.
The land is characterized by rugged terrains dominated by dramatic hills with Acacia and Doum palm trees along the Ewaso Nyiro River, the lifeline of this beautiful arid land and home to fantastic bird life and rare species of animals including Somali Ostrich, Besia Oryx, Gerenuk, gravy zebra, Reticulated Giraffe and Greater Kudu. The reserve is a good place to watch elephants and the big Cats. Arrive in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure followed by an evening game drive. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Sarova Shaba Lodge
Sarova Shaba Game Lodge is located in a natural oasis in the heart of the Shaba Game Reserve that Joy & George Adamson called home for many years. Built in an oasis around the natural terrain of this breathtaking volcanic desert, the Lodge is attractively laid out with chalet style rooms overlooking the Uaso Nyiro River with private balconies with ensuite bathrooms with permanent showers and WC, running hot & cold water, razor outlets with 220 & 240 volts beds with mosquito nets and duvets overhead fans with 240v power & 6am to midnight, tea and coffee making facilities from the best of Kenya.
Natural spring water has been harnessed to ribbon its way in and out, all around the property creating a beautiful landscape. Coupled with the large free-form swimming pool that flows around the lush gardens and tall trees, all this refreshing water lends an almost magical feel to this natural oasis.
Day 2. Full day at Samburu with activities.
Today, you will spend a full day at Samburu with game drive and other optional activities like the visits to Samburu villages to learn their way of life or just enjoy the lodge’s surrounding, Swimming or leisure. All meals and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3: Departure.
After breakfast, you will check out and enjoy an enroute game drive as you return back to Nairobi. You will have lunch on the way back (Payment will be direct to you). Arrive early evening in Nairobi.
