Pete Wentz & Ashlee Simpson took their baby out to the carnival... and promptly left after a mere 30 minutes. Just enough time to be seen.

Ashlee made a run for the car, when the family was spotted sneaking away. Pete made time to stop and sign a few autographs for fans, before catching up.

I guess since it is a charity event all that matters is they made their contributions, it's not like the baby is old enough to enjoy the carnival anyhow.

jennyh - it looks like 2 diff babies were with them? Who was the other kid?
starz247 - I think his publicist brought her baby. Or a friend came with them. I'm not sure. There was anoth girl with them, holding a baby.

starz247 - To be seen, have photos taken to look like they were there longer and having fun. Publicity.
