My friends and I had just left a fashion show in New York City and we were about to head back to New Jersey. My friend needed to go to the bathroom when we got news that Victoria Beckham was in a restaurant near us eating dinner. My friend went to the bathroom to check and I waited outside.
I started watching everybody that was walking outside thinking I might see Posh walk out. I turned around and I saw Callie Torres! Yes, Sara Ramirez from Grey's Anatomy was there and I yelled at her. SARA!!! She looked and acknowledged that indeed she was Sara Ramirez and I was like Holy Crap what are you doing here. Like she wasn't allowed in New York. Ha! She was doing some promotion work and was here for fashion week. I found out that her costar, Ellen Pompeo, was also here. They are both fans of Mr. Marc Jacobs.
I was excited that cast members of my favorite show had invaded my city. Having not missed an episode since it premiered I think of these people like my friends. Look at my face in this picture it is completely priceless and Sara is absolutely beautiful.
She was waiting for a taxi so I was able to ask her a few questions about plots they were working on and when they were going to tape more episodes. She was so kind to me and everybody else. I felt kind of bad because I should have been quiet in my actions and pull her aside not to bring attention to her, but I was so excited and it was very unexpected. Not only is Sara great on television but she was also an amazing actress on Broadway in Spamalot for which she won a coveted Tony Award.
I was very happy to have met her and even happier to know she is good to her fans.
