Today in Los Angeles, Drew Barrymore brought out all the stops to join the anti-prop 8 rally.
Drew was joined by an entourage of her gay friends to hold signs and chant in unison at their disgust for inequality.
Whether you are for or opposed to prop 8, I think it is really great when celebrities come out to show their support for a cause that personally affects so many people.
All of Santa Monica Boulevard was closed down for the rally, and following a slew of speakers, the protesters began their march. They marched all the way down Santa Monica to Hollywood and Highland. It was really quite impressive, and I think everyone succeeded in making their feelings known.
Drew was joined by a bunch of other celebs at the rally including Kathy Griffith, Sopia Bush, Pete Wentz, Emmy Rossum, Perez Hilton and Eliza Dushku.
Drew (of course) had the biggest following and everyone there screamed as she walked by, wooing and ahhing to her for coming out and showing her support.
Hats off to you Drew -- it's so refreshing to see celebs actually doing something than shopping and partying!
