Law & Order SVU star Mariska Hargitay is feeling good and lobbying in Washington D.C. today.
She was on the Capitol Hill hanging with Senator Barbara Boxer, who is sponsoring the photo exhibit-- "Congo/Women Portraits of War: Democratic Republic of Congo".
Hargitay is touring at the moment and the whole point is to bring education about the sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
She later picked up an award honoring her efforts.

BritBrit247 - It's really stupid how these celebs "pretend" to do good. What it comes down to, is Mariska showed up in D.C. to be honored not to do any type of charitable event!!
Marianne - She was being honored precisely because of her charitable work. Mariska Hargitay has done tremendous work on behalf of survivors of sexual assault through the Joyful Heart Foundation, and last night she was being honored by the National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship for her efforts in that area as well. So before you attack someone and make a complete fool out of yourself in the process, how about doing some research first?
