While out at Club Apple in Los Angeles this week, I was beyond excited to see one of my favorite former American Idol contestants, Kimberly Caldwell. My friend had some photos of her to sign and while we were getting them signed, I had the opportunity to take a few pictures of her, and one with her as well. I was a little sad to see that she wasn't with David Cook---they had been dating during some of his American Idol run and for quite some time after, but have recently split.
What really caught me off guard was when I looked at the people that Kimberly was with and I saw that Carly Smithson was standing right next to her! The two friends attended the young Hollywood party together at Apple, along with plenty other up and coming young Hollywood starlets. I think it's pretty cool that even though Kimberly and Carly were on two different seasons of American Idol--years apart, they became best friends!
After some hugs and girly cheek kisses goodbye, the two beautiful ladies took some more photos with fans and hopped into their rides to go home. Even though neither Kimberly nor Carly were the winners on their respective seasons of American Idol, I still think they are amazing!
