I recently attended the Scream Awards at the Greek Theatre in Griffith Park. If you don't know what the Scream Awards are, it's the only awards show honoring the best in comics, fantasy, sci-fi & horror.
One of the first celebrities to arrive was Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He's best known for his roll as the beloved heart paitent Denny on Grey's Anatomy, who was killed off in the season 2 finale.
He also starred on Weeds opposite his real life on again off again girlfriend Mary Louise Parker. Some of you may know him as John Winchester, Sam and Deans father on the CW hit sci-fi show Supernatural (which Jeffrey's character was also killed off of a while back).
Jeffrey was at the awards to promote his new movie Watchmen. When he got out of his car, the fans called him over, and he came right across the street. He was so sweet and signed autographs and took pictures for everyone. Right as my friend was about to take her picture with him, someone came running up from behind and tackled him!
This scared everyone, and even a couple security guards came running over to see what was going on, only to find out that it was Jared Padalecki, who stars as Sam Winchester, Jeffrey's on screen son on Supernatural.
Jared was attending the awards to promote his new remake of the movie Friday The 13th. Jared quickly apopogized to the fans and to security for interrupting. He said when he drove by and saw Jeffrey standing out there, he told his driver to stop and he instinctivly jumped out of the car! They shared a very warm and sweet hug, and were so thrilled to see eachother!!
They talked and caught up for a few minutes, and then both turned their attention to the fans waiting paitently. I managed to get a couple pictures of them, as well as with them.
They are 2 of the nicest celebs I have met yet and I hope they have long, successful carreers.

leckifan - It's not the remake of Halloween. Jared is starring in a reboot of Friday the 13th.
But you look hot, so you're forgiven.
It feels so good to see JDM and Jared still so close, they're both amazing actors and wonderful people.
I wish Jared was free of Supernatural, free to make great movies and not that crappy CW show.
