Kiss bassist Gene Simmons has never been at a lack of words in front of a television camera. He will peddle himself, his friends, family, caskets, condoms, anything to make a quick buck. When it comes to the fans who made it all happen for him, he shows no love.
I ran into Gene a half dozen times in the past year and always am greeted with a cold "What can you do for me" attitude. When asking for a photo, he simply said "No, but you are a powerful man and you are ok." While witnessing someone telling him he has been a loyal fan for 30 years and just wanted a handshake, Gene said "You don't know where my hand has been" and simply walked away.
The paltry amount of money people spend on his albums, concert tickets, books, and mounds of KISS crap he markets still don't make his fans important enough to give back to.
