On November 4, 2009 the New York Yankees captured their 27th World Series title when they defeated the Philadelphia Phillies at the new Yankee Stadium. When the third out was recorded the Yankees celebrated on the field as the fans celebrated in their seats. Among the thousands of fans in attendance were Spike Lee, Kurt Rusell and the the number 1 Yankee fan Kate Hudson.
