"Don't Ask Jamie Pressly Any Questions In An Interview."I met Jamie Pressly in New York City while she was promoting her upcoming movie "I Love You, Man". She was coming out of a hotel and I was lucky enough to catch her before she jumped into her car. I asked for a photo with her and even though her publicist said no, Jamie was very cool and said yes. She looked awesome and this was a great encounter, considering she has a reputation for not being the most fan friendly.
A week later, I was listening to a local Cleveland radio station and they were talking about how one of the radio personalities, Charlie, was in New York that weekend and was able to interview Jamie as well as Paul Rudd and Jason Segal. They played the audio of the interview with Jamie on the air and it was quite funny.
Charlie said he was not prepared for the interview and was suprised to see Jamie Pressly as he thought he was interviewing Elvis's daughter, Lisa Marie Pressley. He also said that he had never interviewed anyone before that, so you can imagine the train wreck that was about to happen.
It went off like a bad job interview. The questions didn't roll into each other, there were long pauses between Jamie's answer and the next question, and there was even other people in the room laughing throughout at how bad the interview was.
Charlie asked Jamie about what movies she got her start in and she would not discuss them since they were nothing she was proud of. Apparently Poison Ivy 3 and the Jerry Springer movie are not in Jamie's personal DVD collection. He then asked her what made her decide to get into acting and she simply responded "that would take 18 years to explain."
You could tell from the audio that Jamie was rather disgusted with the interviewer. She side-stepped several questions, the only questions she answered was about her character in the movie and a couple questions about My Name is Earl. She also said that men usually don't approach her for dates because they are scared of her.
Despite her reputation and the way the interview went, I thought she was very cool.
